An Art Deco diamond and sugarloaf cabochon sapphire ring, formed as a dome with a radiating spiral pattern of platinum set single cut diamonds and calibre cut bright royal blue sapphires to central royal blue sugarloaf cabochon sapphire.
The distinctive sugarloaf cabochon with its high cut began to appear in the early twentieth century and became one of the most popular cuts in the Art Deco period, particularly in rings.
